A logo should be meaningful, memorable, and workable. The graphical elements, style, and colors should reflect the business, product, mission, and culture of the company/organization. It should be well-crafted and easily reproducible in all necessary mediums and applications (print, web, presentations, advertising, promotional items, signage, etc.).

I have created logos and produced branding identity materials (letterhead systems, business cards, pocket folders, mailing labels, presentation templates, social media profile graphics, promotional items, etc.) for many companies and organizations over the years. View a few examples.

I will create attractive and effective brochures, newsletters, reports, advertisements, direct mail pieces, etc. to aid in selling your products/services, promoting your event/activity, or communicating your mission/message. View a few examples.

I am well-versed in print technologies and have many years of experience working with printers and preparing files for printing. I will carefully design and preflight your publication to ensure a smooth printing process and top quality results.

The role of “web designer” has changed so much over the years. With the proliferation of WordPress and its evolution from a blogging platform to a full fledged content management system, there’s little need for custom site design. There are countless high quality, responsive themes available for use with WordPress. Some are easier to work with than others, but there are many choices, and many are geared to specific business types. As a result, I rarely do full, custom site designs from the ground up anymore, although I have done many in the past (a couple of these have been archived and are accessible from my portfolio page.) Instead, in recent years, clients are more likely to require technical assistance, advice/guidance, content writing/editing/organizing, photo manipulation/optimization, and/or advanced theme customization.

I often have clients who want me to handle the server-side, back end issues and then let them take over. For example, if you wish to move from your existing host and set up a brand new site, we will recommend a reliable new host, transfer your domain, and set up your hosting account and email on the new host’s server. I can also install and configure WordPress, your selected theme and required/recommended plugins on the server. So far as the site itself, if you’re determined to “do it yourself” as much as possible, I can help. I will provide an overview of how to use the tools and provide some limited training by phone, and provide support as needed if you into trouble. The extent of McBride Design’s web services really depends on the each client’s capabilities, preferences and requirements. Some want to do a lot themselves, others want to hand everything over to me and have me do it for them. View a few examples.
